NYC walking tours
Teaching the Triangle Fire Forum

The Triangle Factory fire was the largest workplace disaster in the US until the 9/11 tragedy.  The outrage over the senseless deaths of the young workers sparked social protests that lead to stronger labor legislation, humane workplace regulations, and ultimately New Deal reform. As the 100-year anniversary of the tragedy approaches, efforts to commemorate the fire and what that moment in history represents for all of us are being undertaken across the nation.

On Saturday, July 17, LESHP's Andrea Coyle will be leading a special Women: Movers & Shakers walking tour as part of the programming.

Saturday, July 17 & Sunday, July 18, 2010
