NEWS & UPDATES:
  • LESHP is working with Whole Foods and Bowery Alliance of Neighbors on a neighborhood-wide Bowery Exhibit, coming this Fall 2010.
  • Seth Franklin Abrams has produced a new episode of the Our Gotham film series about the Jewish Mob on the LES at the turn of the century. You can see the entire episode here.
  • LESHP's film The Bowery: A Documentary will be screened at the Architecture & Design Film Festival this Fall 2010. Here is a trailer.
  • Executive director Eric Ferrara is working on three new books about the Bowery, St. Marks Place, and the old gangsters of Brooklyn.
  • LESHP is working on a documentary film about the origins of the Mafia and the Sicilian immigrant experience.
